Tourist mindset

Ever wonder why tourist seems to be more polite? Maybe it's because they're in an unfamiliar place, so they feel a bit humbled and are more careful Why if they're in familiar places, people tend to be more careless and rude? It might be good if we adopt tourist mindset everywhere we go. A mindset that we are here temporarily, so that we have to leave a good mark and not make any scene.

Christchurch stopover, 1-3 April 2010

3rd stop : Christchurch. City with nice weather but many constructions 😅🏗️ From Twizel, we drove first to Lake Tekapo, and to Astro Cafe for sightseeing and light snack (view was amazing, as always). Went to The Church of The Good Shepherd and had lunch at Geraldine. After 3-4 hours driving, we finally arrived at Christchurch. Finally after all of those 1 line road state highways with field and mountains 🛣️⛰️🗻, we've encountered wide city road with red lights and buildings around! 🚦🚗🚙🚕🏬🏢 We went to Kaikoura the next day, yes, the sea🌊🌊!! Long drive, but loving the sea and its surroundings! We had a bit of time before our Whale Watching ride, so I took a nice walk by the beach🏖️, when the sun's still not too strong 🌞 (though my slightly sunburnt face might disagree) Then we went on a whale watching boat. Managed to see Tiaki, the big sperm whale 🐳, a group of playful Orcas🐬 🐬, and flocks of dolphins 🐬🐬🐬. What an amazing and humbling exp...
