Visiting The Dancing House in Prague - Mengunjungi The Dancing House di Praha

Prague was a beautiful city. Intimate and full of history.

Among the classical surroundings, stood The Dancing House, a modern-asymmetrical building that became a unique travel destination when travelling to the city.

The building's design was inspired by the famous dancers, Ginger Rogers and Fred Astair. Currently the building is used as restaurant, art gallery, hotel, and also, photo spot for tourists (Prague Tourist Website).

We managed to go there on Monday, 28 Oct 2019, around 3-4 PM. The building itself stood on the edge of an intersection, so there's not much of a space around it. There were some tourists crowding around on the outside. 

For someone who came from a big city, where there are many modern & creative architectural buildings, this building may seem a bit underwhelming. But considering that this one contemporary building was built among many traditional design, The Dancing House had its' own appeal.

Like most of the tourists, we didn't enter the building, so we didn't have the experience of what it's like from the inside. And also, like the majority of the tourists there, we were satisfied by taking photo of the building from across the intersection, of course, with multiple creative poses to corresponded with the Dancing House's unique silhouette. 

After photo taking, we continued our journey on the beautiful city of Prague.

Praha adalah kota yang indah. Intim dan penuh sejarah.

Di antara lingkungan klasik, berdiri The Dancing House, sebuah bangunan asimetris modern yang menjadi tujuan wisata unik saat berwisata ke Praha.

Desain bangunan terinspirasi oleh penari terkenal, Ginger Rogers dan Fred Astair. Saat ini bangunan tersebut digunakan sebagai restoran, galeri seni, hotel, dan juga, tempat berfoto bagi wisatawan (Prague Tourist Website).

Kami ke sana pada hari Senin, 28 Oktober 2019, sekitar jam 3 - 4 sore. Bangunan itu sendiri berdiri di tepi persimpangan, jadi tidak ada banyak ruang di sekitarnya. Ada beberapa turis yang berkerumun di luar.

Untuk seseorang yang berasal dari kota besar, dimana terdapat banyak bangunan berarsitektur modern & kreatif, bangunan ini mungkin terlihat sedikit kurang berkesan. Namun mengingat bangunan kontemporer yang satu ini dibangun di antara banyak desain tradisional, The Dancing House memiliki daya tarik tersendiri.

Seperti kebanyakan turis, kami tidak memasuki gedung, jadi kami tidak memiliki pengalaman seperti apa dari dalam. Dan juga, seperti kebanyakan turis di sana, kami puas dengan mengambil foto bangunan dari seberang persimpangan, tentu saja, dengan beberapa pose kreatif yang sesuai dengan siluet unik The Dancing House.

Setelah foto-foto, kami melanjutkan perjalanan di kota Praha yang indah.
